How registration works

The UEEH receives a large number of registrations requests every year. Our current capacity is limited (200 simultaneous places), so we have to turn down many people.

If people who register the fastest get a seat, that gives an unfair advantage to those who are the fastest, best informed, most comfortable with computers and language, and most available at the time registrations open. It would disadvantage all other people who would like to register.

For more fairness, places for the 2026 edition of the UEEH will be allocated by drawing lots (at random). When registrations open on June 1st, you’ll have one week to register for the draw through the online form.

⚠️ Answering the form on time is mandatory to be able to participate in the UEEH. People who didn’t register will not get a seat.

On June 7 at midnight, the draw registration form will be permanently closed. On Monday the 8th, we will proceed to randomly sort registrations. This is the draw.

There will be a system of prioritization, see “Priorities”.

The waiting list will also be advanced according to the dates you have chosen. If you are at the top of the waiting list but there are no more places available for your chosen dates, we may contact you to suggest other dates. Otherwise, you will remain at the top of the waiting list until your preferred dates become available.

Seats

The number of places/seats in the high school is limited to 200 people.

For logistical reasons and political choices, a hundred or so places are blocked in advance for:

Priorities

Among the remaining places, at least 60 % are reserved to people:

These priorities have been in place at UEEH since 2022 (although they have evolved since then), and are being applied again in 2026.

These situations were chosen because, in our society, they can lead to precarity and also to isolation within LGBTQIA+ communities. We want the people in our communities who need social spaces like the UEEH the most to have more chances to participate.

Of course, being into one or more of these categories does not mean that you are isolated or in a precarious situation. Therefore, it’s optional: the people concerned can decide not to benefit from prioritization.

There will be a first draw reserved to people with priority, in which 60% of the seats will be attributed. The remaining seats will be attributed in a second draw, that will include everyone (with priority or not) who did not already obtain a seat.

⚠️ Someone with priority will have more chance to obtain a seat at the UEEH, but that’s not guaranteed.

Registering as a group

When registering, it is possible to indicate that you are coming with other people. This option is intended for people who need to be together or accompanied in order to be able to come in good conditions.

If you register with other people, you are forming a group. Either the whole group is taken, or no one is taken.

In the draw, the group carries as much weight as an individual person; coming as a group doesn’t increase your chances of getting a place (nor does it reduce them).

We encourage you to keep your group to a maximum of 3 people; if you need to be more, please contact us after registering to discuss your needs.

Registration dates

Times are in the Paris timezone (Central European Summer Time, CEST, UTC+2).

  1. Monday, June 1st: opening of the registrations for the draw

  2. Sunday, June 7 at midnight: closing of the draw registrations

  3. Monday, June 8:

    • Drawings lots to establish the waiting list
    • Sending of emails to people who got a seat

After that the waiting list will proceed.

Beware of e-mails

To make sure you receive your e-mails, take care to :

Otherwise, you risk not seeing our e-mails in time and losing your place.

Accessibility

We are doing our best to provide registration tools that are accessible to all, especially for people with specific needs and users of assistive technology. However, answering the forms may still prove difficult.

If that’s your case, reach out to us by email at registration [@] ueeh.net and explain your difficulties. We can help you fill the form, for instance by asking you the questions over text, email or phone call, or by finding other solutions suitable for your needs.
